Our next production
Curtain Up on Murder
A thriller by Bettine Manktelow
Produced by Andrea Varnavides
"An amateur drama company is rehearsing in the theatre at the end of a pier. Storms rage overhead and the doors are locked - they are trapped! Events take a sinister turn when a mysterious, ghostly presence passes across the stage, and when the Assistant Stage Manager falls to certain death through a trapdoor, the remaining actors are thrown into disarray. Their panic increases when one of the actresses is poisoned and it becomes evident that a murderer is in their midst - a murderer, it soon transpires, who will not stop until they are all dead…"
“an engaging and entertaining thriller, and a skilfully written piece of suspense.”

The Return of the Ring
Oh, yes, they have! Our indomitable trio - Telfer, Varnavides, Robertson - have done it again! They have certainly produced “A Right Pantomime”, with just a hint of Tolkien. Playing to full houses on four occasions was taxing enough for adults, but how much more so for children, yet every one was naturally happy and word perfect. The three children were a delight to watch, confident and enthusiastic.
The scenes were so attractive and the costumes superb, so all praise to those responsible for making this such a vibrant production. As for the performers, what a wealth of talent was there! All our favourite pantomime stories were incorporated, supported by dancers, dwarfs, fairies and superheroes.
The audiences were enthralled - they listened in silence, hanging on every word, they laughed, they shouted, they booed, they hissed, they applauded. In fact, they behave exactly as good pantomime audiences should.
Congratulations to everyone involved in every way. We all set out for home with our spirits lifted after a real Christmas treat.
